4. Customer and End-User Data

Customers may use 1A Data Centers services to store, transmit, process, back up, or manage information that belongs to the customer, its users, website visitors, application users, or other third parties. As between 1A Data Centers and the customer, the customer is responsible for determining what information is placed into its environment and for ensuring that its collection and use of that information complies with applicable law and its own privacy obligations.

We do not access customer or end-user data merely because it is hosted on our infrastructure. We access or use such data only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, support, recover, or operate the services, including maintaining or improving their reliability, security, and operation; to comply with the customer's instructions and our agreements; to investigate abuse or security issues; or as otherwise required by law. We do not sell customer content or use customer content for unrelated advertising purposes.

Our personnel may access customer systems or data only when reasonably necessary to perform authorized support, maintenance, migration, recovery, security, troubleshooting, or other requested work. We limit such access to the scope reasonably necessary for the applicable task and to personnel and service providers who have a legitimate need to perform that work.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

Information removed from active systems may remain for a limited period in backups, archives, or recovery systems until those copies are rotated, overwritten, or otherwise deleted in accordance with our normal retention and recovery processes.
